Gloria Diaz Throwback : The Liza Soberano of The Past



We have been taken aback by the announcement of Miss Universe 2015 after the pageant's host Steve Harvey unwittingly managed to interchange the position of Miss Columbia and Miss Philippines, declaring the latter as First Runner-up. But he immediately admitted his mistake and declared Miss Philippines as the Miss Universe 2015. After 42 years of waiting, once again Philippines had taken home the crown!

But before Pia Wurtzbach confidently with a heart Miss Universe 2015 made all of us proud, Gloria Diaz have shone in the humble stage of Miss Universe back then how witty and how Filipinas really are. Gloria Maria Aspillera Diaz-Daza, professionally known as Gloria Diaz is a Filipina actress, television host, and the first ever Filipina beauty queen to bring home the Miss Universe crown 1969. She indeed has the beauty, the brain, and the heart! Many people eventually loved her more upon hearing her witty answer on the Miss Universe question and answer portion. She was asked,
 “In the next day or so, a man will land on the moon. If a man from the moon landed in your hometown, what would you do to entertain him?”. She confidently answer, “Oh, just the same things I do. I think if he has been on the moon for so long, I think when he comes over he wants to change, I guess.” As Filipinos were known to very hospitable in receiving our guests as well as attending to their needs.

We are known to give the best sets of dinnerware, sleeping mattresses and even the best foods we could ever put in our tables. That is why her answer comes very natural and she answered the question confidently.

She posted several throwback photos of her youth that left many netizens astounded. She is very gorgeous and youthful until now. It seems that she never really forgot to take care of herself and her body. She is not just a mother of Isabel Daza but she is already a grandmother to her grandchild. She is indeed a superwoman. An epitome of a great Filipino woman who once had given as so much pride to our beloved country Philippines.
